Nova Scotia is dealing with snowfall in much of the province Sunday.
According to CBC meteorologist Ryan Snoddon, snowfall in the range of 5-10 centimetres is in store for much of Nova Scotia, including Halifax, with the potential for 10-15 centimetres in the southwestern region of the province.
The snow is expected to fall throughout the day before tapering off from west to east in the afternoon and evening, said Snoddon.
In the Halifax Regional Municipality, the city said its winter parking ban will be in effect in both Zone 1 (central) and Zone 2 (non-central) Sunday evening.
Drivers are being asked to park their vehicles off municipal streets between 1 a.m. and 6 a.m. to allow for snow clearing.
Halifax Stanfield airport is also advising that snow may affect flights. It is urging travellers to confirm the status of their flight before heading to the airport.
Messy road conditions are also causing disruptions.
The RCMP said Sunday afternoon that both lanes of Highway 102 between exits 5A and 6 inbound would close at 4 p.m. following a crash involving a tractor-trailer.
Traffic will be detoured onto Highway 2 between Enfield and Fall River, police say.
