No more motorcycle gatherings near Halifax ferry on Thursdays
Halifax is banning motorcyclist from parking their bikes outside the Tim Hortons on the Halifax waterfront on Thursdays.
Halifax is putting an end to a regular gathering of motorcycle riders that's apparently become too popular.
Motorcyclists can no longer use the designated parking outside the Tim Hortons at the ferry terminal on the Halifax waterfront on Thursdays.
The city says there are too many bikes at the designated area and police can’t secure safe access for emergency vehicles, ferry passengers and delivery trucks.
The city says it will change signs at Chebucto Landing this week. There will still be short term parking for pickups and deliveries.
