Cabbie missing after picking up fare

Police in the Halifax region are looking for a taxi driver who was last seen Saturday afternoon.

Sergei Kostin, 40, a driver for Bob's Taxi, disappeared after picking up a customer on Gaston Road in Dartmouth.

"That's the last that it seems anyone has heard from him," Const. Jeff Carr said Tuesday.

The taxi company notified police about the missing cabbie on Monday. Kostin is from the Ukraine and has no family in Halifax.

Carr said he couldn't give details about Kostin's last fare because that's part of the investigation.

Kostin was driving a green Chev Impala with roof light No. 367. He's described as balding with a small build.
