Scott Jones

Scott Jones is a musician, educator, and activist from Nova Scotia. After being paralyzed in 2013, he launched VOX: A Choir for Social Change and Don’t Be Afraid, an anti-homophobia/transphobia campaign. He's travelled across Canada for speaking engagements and was awarded a Nova Scotia Human Rights Award. He's exploring choir as a way to spark change and is a PhD candidate in music.

    Scott Jones was paralyzed in a stabbing in 2013 in the small town of New Glasgow, N.S. Since then, he's often struggled with suicide — not because of his disability, but because of the way society treats him.
