Making the most of those cold, clear nights: Mark Kelly sent this majestic image to our CBC Yukon Facebook page. (submitted by Mark Kelly) Another week has come and gone and with it, another set of your best shots from across the Northwest Territories, Nunavut, and Yukon. Check out your best photos of the week:
Talk about a Canadian image! Ryan Knight snapped this shot on an ice road outside Yellowknife, N.W.T. 'With a temperature of -38 C, without the wind chill. I manage to create the shot whilst the Northern lights danced above.' (submitted by Ryan Knight) '-40 C isn't so bad if you have some hot water on hand,' writes Peter Harms, who sent us this great shot from just outside Whitehorse. The shot was taken by Charmyn Gunn (Charmyn Gunn/submitted by Peter Harms) Now that's one happy trapper! Samuel Ilmuigaryuk Iksiraq sent this shot of his grandfather - and his fox pelts - to our CBC Nunavut Facebook page. (submitted by Samuel Ilmuigaryuk Iksiraq ) Under Northern skies: Clayton Turtle sent us this beautiful look from an ice road near the Pikangikum First Nation in Northern Ontario. (submitted by Clayton Turtle) 'Turtle Island' under the aurora. Collin Goyman sent us this beautiful shot of one of the incredible entries in Yellowknife's Snowking Winter Festival's international snow carving contest. (submitted by Collin Goyman) Much of Nunavut was hit by blizzards late in the week, but Rankin Inlet's Joey and Kalan Arualak just got tired of waiting for the weather to clear up. The pair went out in the blizzard to get their street-hockey fix. (submitted by Pamela Arualak) Arctic temperatures don't mean puppies can't have a bit of fun! Devon Manik sent us this shot from Resolute Bay, Nunavut. (submitted by Devon Manik) Off to the races: Matthew Miller sent us this action shot from the dogsled races at the K'atlodeeche First Nation's 34th-annual K’amba Carnival.
