Buffalo Airways DC-3 returns to Hay River due to engine fire

The incident happened seven minutes after takeoff from the Hay River airport destined for Yellowknife. The plane returned and landed safely at Hay River shortly after 7:30 a.m.

Nav Canada filed an incident report with Transport Canada.

It says Buffalo Airways personnel extinguished the fire in the left engine after the plane landed.
