Will the Senators take revenge on P.K. Subban?
Montreal Canadiens player Max Pacioretty will play in Game 2 of the playoffs
It's game day and the Montreal Canadiens will have their top goal scorer in the game against the Ottawa Senators.
The series started Wednesday night without the Habs top goal-scorer but with a physical tone that looks to continue tonight.
- Mark Stone suffers fractured wrist from P.K. Subban slash
- P.K. Subban avoids suspension for slash on Mark Stone
- Canadiens defeat Senators in wild playoff opener
If Senators rookie Matt Stone can not play, Sens enforcer Chris Neil is expected to suit up in his place.
Stone is suffering from a micro-fracture in his wrist, the result of a two-handed slash from Habs defenceman P.K. Subban.
Subban was given a slashing major and ejected from the game but received no supplemental discipline from the league, drawing the ire of Sens players and fans alike.
The revenge factor
Neil has already gone on record saying Subban should keep his head up tonight, but he will need some luck if he hopes to catch the former Norris Trophy winner off guard.
Neil has become increasingly ineffective in recent years. He was not a factor in the Senators story book run into the post season and has not played a game since Feb. 14 because of a broken hand.
P.K. Subban will be ready and as Mike Weaver said in the locker room today, Subban is hard to catch because he never skates in a straight line.
