Pedestrian killed by snow-removal truck in Saint-Léonard

A woman is dead after getting run over by a snow-removal truck in Montreal's Saint-Léonard borough.

A woman in her 60s is dead after getting run over by a snow-removal truck in Montreal's Saint-Léonard borough.

The incident happened on Paul-Emile Lamarche Street and Langelier Boulevard around 5:10 p.m.

The westbound truck was making a right-hand turn onto Langelier on a green light and struck a pedestrian who was crossing the street.

According to Montreal police, the driver didn't realize he had hit the woman until witnesses stopped him a few meters down the street.

The 53-year-old man was treated for shock on the scene.
