NDG man is city's 29th homicide this year, Montreal police say

When they arrived, police found a 51-year-old man who was unresponsive and had marks of violence on his body. His death was confirmed shortly after.

Montreal police are investigating a suspicious death in the Notre-Dame-de-Grâce neighbourhood early Monday morning. 

They say they were called to a multi-unit apartment building near the intersection of Montclair and Fielding Avenues just after midnight. 

When they arrived, police found a 51-year-old man who was unresponsive and had signs of violence on his body. His death was confirmed shortly after.

By the afternoon, police had confirmed it was the 29th homicide in Montreal so far this year.

As of Monday evening, investigators had yet to say what they believe caused the man's death. No arrests have been made either.
