Sûreté du Québec locate missing 48-year-old man in Outaouais

Police have located a missing 48-year-old man. He was found at a park in Val-des-Bois, Que., which is in the Outaouais region.

Montreal police and the Sûreté du Québec's search for a missing 48-year-old man is over. He was found and he is safe.

The missing man had last seen on Friday in Montreal's Rosemont–La Petite-Patrie borough. 

He was supposed to go meet up with friends at a cottage in Val-des-Bois — a municipality located in the Outaouais region about 70 kilometres north of Gatineau, Que.

The vehicle he was travelling in was found at Papineau-Labelle Park in Val-des-Bois, which triggered a search in the area by the SQ.

In an update on Sunday morning, Montreal police said the man was found at that park.
