The Missing Children's Network has unveiled an age-progression image of a child who went missing six years ago in Montreal's north end.

The aged image of Ariel Jeffrey Kouakou, who was 10 when he disappeared from the Ahuntsic neighbourhood on March 12, 2018, was produced by Sûreté du Québec (SQ) experts.

The photo shows what Ariel would look like today and is to solicit any new information that might help the Service de police de la Ville de Montréal (SPVM) in their investigation into his disappearance.

At the time, police said they believed the boy fell into a nearby river.

Frédéric Kouakou, Ariel's father, told the Missing Children's Network that the image is also meant to stir the collective memory. Mélanie Aubut, the executive director of the Missing Children's Network, added that the organization stands by Ariel's family and pointed out that every missing child deserves to be remembered.

Ariel was last seen leaving his home on foot to visit a friend. He has not been seen since.
