Perimeter Highway reopens after being closed due to icy road conditions

Winnipeg's Perimeter Highway has reopened after closing Wednesday night due to poor winter driving conditions.

Winnipeg's Perimeter Highway has reopened after closing Wednesday night due to poor winter driving conditions.

The road closure came into effect just after 10 p.m. for Highway 100 and Highway 101 due to blowing snow and icy roads, a news release said.

The province's online map showed the closure impacted the entire route that surrounds Winnipeg.

An update from the province that the highway had been reopened was sent shortly before 9 a.m. Thursday.
