Workplace safety investigators are looking into a fatal collision involving a pedestrian and construction vehicle in the Garden City Shopping Centre parking lot.
On Monday, a 57-year-old woman was killed when she was struck by a vehicle, police said in a news conference.
Workplace Safety and Health has opened an investigation in collaboration with Winnipeg Police Service, a provincial spokesperson said.
The crash happened in the mall parking lot near the former Sears location at about 3 p.m.
Police have identified the driver but continue to investigate, a police spokesperson said Tuesday.
The former Sears location is under construction, and construction materials and vehicles were in the parking lot. A truck was parked nearby on Monday.
