Silver alert cancelled after missing Winnipeg woman found

Winnipeg police have cancelled a silver alert for a woman who went missing more than a week ago, saying she has been located and is safe.

The alert was issued last week when police said the 64-year-old woman had last been seen in the Crescentwood area early in the evening on Dec. 1.

A silver alert is issued whenever a vulnerable adult person is reported as missing.

A previous version of this story included the woman's name and photograph.

Those have been removed in order to protect her privacy, now that she has been located.
