Winnipeg teen who had last been seen in February found safe: police

A 14-year-old girl who was missing for nearly three weeks has been found safe, Winnipeg police say. 

The teen had been last seen on Feb. 15 near Dufferin Avenue and Andrews Street, police said in a news release earlier Friday.

In an update Friday afternoon, they said she had been found safe. 

CBC News has removed the photo and name of the girl to protect her identity now that she has been found.
