The death of a man found in a Main Street apartment is being investigated as a homicide, Winnipeg police say.

The death of a man found in a Main Street apartment is being investigated as a homicide, Winnipeg police say.

Police went to an apartment block on Main between Sutherland Avenue and Flora Avenue around 9:15 a.m. on Tuesday after getting a report of an unresponsive man, according to a news release Wednesday morning.

They found a man who was taken to hospital, where he was pronounced dead.

Homicide investigators ask that anyone with video surveillance or information that might help to call them at 204-986-6508, or send an anonymous tip to Crime Stoppers by calling 204-786-8477 or online at winnipegcrimestoppers.org.

Police did not name the man or provide any further information about the case.
