Kenora waterfront cottagers should take precuations as more rain expected

The Kenora Dams are fully open today in an attempt to subdue increased water levels in the Winnipeg River and Lake of the Woods following a week of heavy rain.

Those with waterfront cottages in Kenora — a popular spot for many Manitobans — are being advised to shore up flood defences are more rain is forecast for this weekend. 

The Lake of the Woods control board expects water levels to remain high until the area gets a stretch of dry weather.
