Winnipeg Football Club cites 'corporate restructuring,' will not fill position
The Winnipeg Blue Bombers are removing Jim Bell as its vice-president and chief operating officer, citing "corporate restructuring."
The Winnipeg Football Club announced Tuesday Bell "will no longer serve the Winnipeg Football Club." His last day with the organization is Friday.
The club says it will not fill Bell's position.
Bell started 12 years ago with the team, and has worn many senior management hats.

The Winnipeg Football Club announces today that, due to corporate restructuring, Vice-President and COO Jim Bell will no longer serve the Winnipeg Football Club. Mr. Bell’s last day with the Football Club will be this Friday, August 29th.
"On behalf of the entire organization, I would like to thank Jim for his dedication, work ethic, professionalism, and most importantly, his passion for this Football Club over the past decade-plus," said Bombers President and CEO, Wade Miller.
"Jim took on many roles and responsibilities throughout his time with the Football Club, and always did it with extraordinary effort. He is truly one of the good people in this world, we sincerely thank him for his years of service to this club, and we wish him all the best in his future endeavours."
As part of the restructuring process, the Vice-President and Chief Operating Officer position will not be refilled.
