Oakbank's Brett Howden scores twice as Golden Knights hand Jets 3rd loss in 4 games

Brett Howden's second goal of the game late in third period proved to be the winner as the Golden Knights defeated NHL-leading Winnipeg Friday night in Las Vegas.

A player from Manitoba provided the margin of victory Friday night, as the Vegas Golden Knights edged the visiting Winnipeg Jets 4-3.

Seven minutes after the Jets had tied the game at 3-3, Oakbank's Brett Howden scored his second goal of the game, with 4:05 remaining in the third period.

The Golden Knights hung on to hand the league-leading Jets their third loss in the last four games.

Ivan Barbashev also had two goals, and Adin Hill made 22 saves for Vegas, which won for the fourth time in five games.

Cole Perfetti scored twice and Neal Pionk added a goal for Winnipeg. Eric Comrie made 26 saves.
