A man is dead after he was found critically injured on Notre Dame Avenue and Keewatin Street early Monday morning, police say, and the incident is now being investigated as a hit and run.
Winnipeg police received a report of an injured person on the road at 3 a.m. and found a man there when they arrived.
He was transported to hospital in critical condition, but later died due to his injuries, according to a Monday news release.

The collision is being investigated as a hit-and-run incident, police say. The vehicle suspected to have hit the man is described as a white, or light coloured SUV.
Police ask that anyone with information, including dash camera video footage of the suspected vehicle involved, to contact investigators at 204-986-7085 or Crime Stoppers at 204-786-8477 (TIPS).
