Ken Nowalsky to take over as superintendent of city’s insect control department

The city has found a replacement for former top bug guy Taz Stuart.

But he's not an entomologist.

Ken Nowalsky has been hired to head up the City of Winnipeg’s insect control department, after Stuart left the position under mysterious circumstances in September 2013.

Nowalsky is a bureaucrat who has acted as a spokesperson for the department in the past.

Stuart held the job for nine years before he parted ways with the city, but both he and city officials are remaining mum about why Stuart is no longer with the city.
