Chris Nero hit by small vehicle, Winnipeg police say

The vehicle involved in the May 2 hit and run that ended the life of Chris Nero is small and has substantial damage to its front end, Winnipeg police say.

Investigators released the information on Saturday morning, and are looking for the driver who allegedly struck Nero, 22, at Inkster Avenue and Bunting Street in Inkster Industrial Park.

Nero died in hospital shortly after the incident. His family and friends gathered Monday for a vigil near the crash site.
