CBC Manitoba holds on to No. 1 spot in Winnipeg radio market

CBC Radio has held on to its position as the most-listened-to station in Winnipeg thanks to the continued support of listeners, according to the latest ratings data.

CBC Manitoba has held on to its position as the most-listened-to station in Winnipeg according to the latest ratings.

Fall ratings data released this week from Numeris, the company that tracks and measures ratings, shows that CBC Manitoba held the top spot, with an overall 14.6 per cent share of listeners in the Winnipeg market — the best result the station has had since the spring of 2023. 

The period measured for the latest ratings was from Nov. 6, 2023, to Nov. 3, 2024, excluding two weeks in December and January. 

The weekday morning program Information Radio, hosted by Marcy Markusa, held on to the top spot in that time slot, with a 21.4 share.

CBC Manitoba's Up To Speed with Faith Fundal, also ranked first among Winnipeg's afternoon shows, with a 12 share.

Meanwhile, CBC Manitoba's Radio Noon jumped back to second place in the noon hour slot in Winnipeg with 10.5  per cent market share, after ranking third in the spring. 

The Weekend Morning Show, hosted by Nadia Kidwai, held on to the number 1 spot among weekend morning listeners in Winnipeg, with a 30.7 share on Saturday and a 32.1 share on Sunday.
