The manager of a Winnipeg car wash made a disturbing discovery Sunday morning when he found a bear carcass in the dumpster.
The discovery was made behind the True Blue Car Wash on Pembina Highway.
At first, Najem Al Mehrib, thought it was a human body. But after a closer look he could see it was a black bear, with the pelt and feet still intact.
Conservation officers, who picked up the bear's remains Sunday afternoon, told him it was a young bear shot during the spring hunting season.
Mehrib doesn't understand why someone would do that.
"It makes me sad … why someone [would] kill the bear and do nothing with the animal?"
