Police identify cyclist killed on 401 south of London

OPP have identified the driver and deceased cyclist in a Thursday morning collision south of London at Highway 401 and Colonel Talbot Road.

OPP have identified the cyclist killed by a vehicle on the 401 Thursday morning at the Colonel Talbot Road exit, south of London, Ont. 

Steven Panula, 55, of no fixed address died the scene after being struck by a passing vehicle in the early hours of the day. 

The driver, 33-year-old Ramandeep Dhesi from Brantford, has been charged with failing to remain and failing to stop at an accident resulting in death. 

He was arrested at a nearby truck stop shortly after the crash, and was released from police custody. He's scheduled to appear in court at a later date.
