Pedestrian sustains life-threatening injuries after crash in southwest end

London, Ont. police say a man is in hospital with life-threatening injuries after being struck by a car in the city's southwest end Tuesday night.

All involved witnesses and drivers remained on scene

London, Ont. police say a man is in hospital with life-threatening injuries after being struck by a car in the city's southwest end Tuesday night. 

At around 6:45 p.m. ET emergency crews were called to the area of Commissioners Road and Wharncliffe Road South in response to a serious crash, police said.

All witnesses and drivers remained at the scene. 

The intersection was closed for some time but has reopened. 

The investigation is in the hands of the London Police Service traffic management unit, and is in its early stages.
