Waterloo Region weather: brutal, bitter cold with -35 wind chill

Waterloo Region, Wellington County and the surrounding area are once again steeped in bitter Arctic cold as Environment Canada issues yet another extreme cold warning. While sunny skies are predicted for the day, the sun won't be able to provide much warmth, with temperatures struggling to rise to -16 C and the windchill at -36. Expect to see increasing cloudiness this evening as well as some snow as the temperature rises overnight to reach -12 C by morning.

Morning: Mainly sunny. Temperature rising to -20 C by late morning. Windchill -36.

Afternoon: Mainly Sunny. High -16 C. Windchill -24.

Evening: Increasing cloudiness. Periods of snow beginning late this evening. Amount 2 cm. Low -19 C with the temperature rising to -12 C by morning.
