Teens arrested in Guelph after police seize fentanyl, loaded gun
Teens face several charges including possession for the purpose of trafficking
Three teenagers were arrested in downtown Guelph on Tuesday after police say they seized fentanyl, a loaded handgun and $5,000 in cash.
Guelph police deployed their drug enforcement unit as well as their tactical unit in the downtown area Tuesday night as part of a drug trafficking investigation.
Officers arrested the first teen, a 16 year old from Toronto, near a vehicle.
Police say the teen had a loaded 9mm handgun and a large amount of cash.
Another teen, this one 18 and also from Toronto, allegedly took off but was tracked down.
Police say he had fentanyl and cash on him.
Finally, another 16-year-old from Toronto was arrested at a nearby home, in posession of cash, according to police.
All three teens are facing several charges, including possession for the purpose of trafficking.
The first teen was also charged with unauthorized possession of a firearm.
