The annual Union of BC Municipalities convention wraps up today in Vancouver. One of the issues that some people there were raising a stink about was biosolids. That's the waste left over from sewage treatment plants.
On Monday, we talked with Georgia Clement. She's a member of Friends of Nicola Valley. They've been fighting the use of bio-solids as a fertilizer on land around Merritt.
She was at the convention to lobby for a resolution that could change the way communities deal with biosolids.
In a vote yesterday, that resolution was passed.
We've reached Georgia Clement again this morning to find out: What now?
