Police investigating targeted shooting in Stoney Creek residential area
Police haven't said why they think the shooting was targeted

Investigators are looking into what they believe is a targeted shooting in Stoney Creek.
Hamilton police responded late Monday night to a call reporting the sound of gunshots near Glen Castle Drive and Mount Albion Road by Greenhill Avenue.
Officers say when they arrived, they found damage from the gunfire on the outside of the home. But no one was injured.
"Through the investigative piece, questioning and witnesses, they believe it's been targeted," Const. Lorraine Edwards tells CBC News.
"They haven't identified why they think that."
The area is tucked away near Red Hill Valley, on the Glendale Falls side of King's Forest — a rare spot for a shooting.
"It's not a crime-ridden area that's for sure, it's just a residential home area," Edwards says.
"Someone fired at their home."
Police have no suspect description yet, but are looking for witnesses and asking nearby residents to check their home security cameras for suspicious activity.
