Man faces firearm charges after shots fired outside Stoney Creek property: police

A Hamilton man is facing firearm-related charges, police say, after shots were fired outside a commercial property in Stoney Creek.
Police were called to the site near the corner of Oriole Avenue and South Service Road around 4 p.m. following reports of gunshots, according to a media release.
Evidence at the scene confirmed there had been a shooting, say police. Several people were inside the building, but investigators say no injuries have been reported.
Officers identified a suspect and arrested a 27-year-old around 12:30 a.m. Friday.
He's facing five charges including discharging a firearm, unauthorized use of a firearm and possession of weapons dangerous.
