Hamilton couple face drug trafficking charges after search warrant executed on their home

A search warrant executed by Hamilton police vice and drugs officers at an address in the city’s east end has resulted in the arrest of a couple and multiple charges, police said in a Friday release.

A Hamilton couple is facing multiple charges after police vice and drugs officers executed a search warrant at an address in the city's east end.

During Thursday's  search, police said officers found a large quantity of cocaine valued at approximately $400,000, and seized more than $150,000 in cash. 

A 29-year-old man and a 23-year-old woman were arrested and charged with possession of cocaine for the purposes of trafficking, and possession of proceeds of crime over $5000, police said in a press release Friday.
