Toronto Mayor Rob Ford has denied allegations that he can be seen in a video smoking what appears to crack cocaine. Gawker has reached the fundraising goal of $200,000 to purchase the video, but has been unable to reach the seller.

Cook debated the ethics of the story with Jeffrey Dvorkin, a University of Toronto professor and former CBC journalist, on Tuesday's episode of Q with Jian Ghomeshi.

Ford has denied the allegations and CBC News has not been able to validate the existence of the video or any of the claims being made about it.
