Calgary police have arrested and charged a suspect in connection with the death of a man whose body was found in a downtown apartment earlier this year.
Michael Donald Lloyd, 42, was found dead inside an apartment in the 200 block of Sixth Avenue S.E. on Aug. 9 when police made a welfare check at the residence.
An autopsy confirmed Lloyd was the victim of a homicide several days before his body was discovered.
Later that month, police identified Steven Joseph Reader, 27, as a person of interest in the homicide and asked for help from the public to locate him.
Earlier this week, Reader was arrested and charged with second-degree murder, police said on Thursday.
He was set to appear in court today.
