The latest East Village project will open later this month when the ribbon is cut on the St. Patrick's Island pedestrian bridge on Oct. 20.
The $25 million project will link the East Village with St. Patrick's Island and Bridgeland on the north side of the Bow River.

Calgary Municipal Land Corporation (CMLC) president Michael Brown says the new park will open late next summer and is being designed to withstand flooding.
CMLC also gave a sneak peek today of the newly-renovated Simmons Building.
Formerly a factory warehouse for a national bedding manufacturer, the Simmons Building is expected to open in 2015 with three new "culinary destination" businesses: Phil and Sebastian's Coffee Roasters, Sidewalk Citizen Bakery and Charbar — a new restaurant from the chefs behind Charcut.
