2nd shooting of the day sends 1 to hospital in northeast Calgary
Victim is in serious, life-threatening condition, Calgary police say
Police are investigating after a man was shot at least once in Calgary's northeast community of Skyview.
The shooting took place around 6 p.m. this evening at 222 Skyview Ranch Road N.E.
The victim is in serious to life-threatening condition, police said.
A neighbour, who declined to be named, told CBC News she heard five-to-six popping sounds.
She said she looked outside, and saw an injured man lying on the ground in front of a home, and a white vehicle with four men inside drive off.
Police have not confirmed the age or gender of the victim and could not yet say if there is a suspect in custody.
The shooting was the second in northeast Calgary on Sunday.
A man is in non-life-threatening condition after being shot in Martindale early Sunday morning.
