Calgary Flames CEO Ken King has sent a vaguely worded letter to primary season ticket holders inviting them to an information session on Aug. 18.
The letter states attendees to the first public discussion will get to see a "high level scope of the project including a preview of CalgaryNEXT."
- Arena plan for Saddledome replacement expected soon
- No public money for future Flames arena, says Nenshi
It goes on to say that the event won't be a formal launch of the project, but an update and a chance to "introduce our vision for the future."
The registration form indicates there will be future sessions but no dates were given.
A new arena to replace the Saddledome has been talked about for years.
