Think you have what it takes for radio? Well, now's your chance.
CBC Calgary is inviting you to be part of their shows by recording your very own station ID. All you need is a smartphone or tablet with a voice recording app and you're set.
What's a station ID?
Station identification is the practice of radio or television stations or networks identifying themselves on-air, typically by means of a call sign or brand name (sometimes known as a "sounder" or "stinger").
If you regularly tune into the airwaves, you've likely heard a station ID. It can sound something along the lines of, "Hi, I'm John from Calgary, and you're listening to CBC Radio!"

Pick from the following station ID scripts, or feel free to improvise a little! Have some fun with it, even if that means tweaking the script.
