The Lethbridge Public Library has a busy spring planned for the community, filled with lots of family-friendly events for you to enjoy. See below what events you can look forward to this spring.

Indigenous Beading Workshop presented by CBC Lethbridge
June 21, 4:15-5:15 p.m. | Main Branch - Eagles Nest
Celebrate National Indigenous Peoples Day with this free Indigenous beading workshop with Shermayn Menicoche, of Midnight Sun Elegance. Attendees are able to drop-in for the session, however, we encourage you to register in advance by emailing Tenaya Benson, as participation is limited. The project will be a pendant and/or earrings (participant's choice).

Home and Garden Show
Saturday, May 20, 10:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m. | Main Branch
The event will include a number of speakers covering topics such as Lethbridge real estate trends; pruning and gardening basics; and even urban hens. The event will also feature a vendor fair featuring everything artists, home services, and gardening specialists.
Big Truck Petting Zoo
Saturday, May 27, 10:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m. | Crossings Branch
The Crossings Branch parking lot will be taken over once again by some of the City's largest vehicles. The event is free and open to all to attend. It gives folks a chance to chat with operators and get up close and touch the trucks! On display will be some regular favourites including the waste and recycling garbage truck, Police cruiser, and transportation street sweeper; but expect to meet some new trucks and equipment this year too.

Join us in welcoming drag royalty, Brandi Jayne and Poppy Puffter, for a special story time! Enjoy a half hour of stories, songs, and fun. All families, friends and allies welcome.
Rainbow Story Time
June 10, 1:00 – 3:00 p.m. | Main Branch - Kids' Corner
We invite LGBTQ+ families and allies to join us for a half hour of stories and songs, followed by crafts and community. We will begin with a half hour of stories and songs, follow by an afternoon of fun with pride themed crafts and community connection time.
