CBC, Calgarians help flood victims with Stampede block party
CBC Calgary is hosting a Back in the Saddle block party on Thursday, a fundraising blitz for victims of the flooding that devastated the city and southern Alberta last month.

CBC Calgary is hosting a Back in the Saddle block party on Thursday, a fundraising blitz for victims of the flooding that devastated the city and southern Alberta last month.
The day-long festivities include the annual CBC Co-op Stampede Breakfast, more free food throughout the day, and lots of live music — including a performance by country legend Ian Tyson.

The money raised at Back in the Saddle will go toward the Calgary Foundation's Flood Recovery and Rebuilding Fund.
CBC Radio is broadcasting live from the event all day. From 5 p.m. to 6:30 p.m., TV anchor Carla Beynon will host CBC News Calgary from outside the building.
