Calgary police have laid charges in connection with a July incident that saw an injured man die after being dropped off at the hospital.

Calgary police have laid charges in connection with a July incident that saw an injured man die after being dropped off at the hospital.
On July 24, police said a man in his early 20s was dropped off at the Peter Lougheed Centre's emergency department at 4:30 a.m.
That man, Mayiel Deng Kiir, died of injuries that police said were sustained during a confrontation.
On Thursday, police said they had arrested Samuel Kong Liong, 21, in connection with the incident.
He was charged with manslaughter. His next court appearance is currently unknown.
Police previously said it was believed the Kiir was injured in a fight with an unknown individual at a home in the 100 block of 42nd Avenue N.E., in the community of Highland Park.
