A man was taken to hospital with minor injuries after he was attacked by a bear in a popular park in Prince George, B.C.
RCMP Cpl. Craig Douglass says the attack happened at about 4:15 p.m. PT, Tuesday at Shane Lake in the Forests for the World park near the University of Northern B.C.
On Wednesday, conservation officers said a sow and her two cubs had been located in the area; the sow was shot but the cubs were tranquilized and relocated to a wildlife shelter.
Police say the 46-year-old man was walking his dog when the attack happened.
He sustained minor, non-life-threatening injuries.

- An earlier version of this story said the sow and her cub were euthanized. In fact, conservation officers clarified only the sow was killed, while her two cubs were relocated to a wildlife shelter.May 18, 2016 6:41 PM EDT
