Several people are under arrest and could face drug charges after police executed search warrants in the Downtown Eastside (DTES) area of Vancouver on Friday.
Vancouver police entered an apartment on the 1100 block of Quebec Street at around 4 p.m., as part of an ongoing effort to prevent the supply of cocaine into the DTES and reduce the violence that goes with it.
Shortly before the search, police near Expo Boulevard and Smithe Street also arrested a 40-year-old man connected to the apartment and described as dangerous.
Two other people have been taken into custody, but no charges have yet been laid.
The investigation continues.
