Malahat Highway reopened after rock slide
Busy Vancouver Island route had been closed in both directions at Tunnel Hill, south of Bamberton

The main highway connecting Victoria with the rest of Vancouver Island was closed for hours Monday morning because of a rock slide.
According to DriveBC, the road was reopened just before 11:30 a.m. PT.
Both lanes of the Malahat Highway had been closed at Tunnel Hill, south of Bamberton, because of the slide.
