Celebrate Indigenous community, culture and creativity with CBC

Celebrate art and spirit at ʔəm̓i ce:p xʷiwəl (Come Toward the Fire) – a free, family-friendly festival celebrating Indigenous community, culture and creativity at The Chan Centre for the Performing Arts on September 14, where CBC is proud to be invited and return as exclusive media partner. 

Set in advance of the National Day for Truth & Reconciliation, this Indigenous-led festival will feature notable music performances, readings by Indigenous poets and authors, film screenings, an Indigenous artisan market and food vendors.

While spotlighting daytime outdoor programming and an evening indoor concert, the celebrations will showcase the diverse talents of Indigenous peoples from Musqueam and Indigenous nations across Turtle Island (North America).
