In a Sunday afternoon post on X, the former Twitter, general manager Patrik Allvin confirmed that Hughes would not play in the tournament.
Hughes appeared to get hurt late in Vancouver's 5-3 loss to the Dallas Stars on Jan. 31 and has missed three straight games for the Canucks.
