The Concordia riding in northeast Winnipeg has been around since 1981 and includes the Valley Gardens, Braeside, Elmwood and East Elmwood neighbourhoods.
New boundaries implemented in 2018 included McLeod Avenue to the north and the CN Redditt railway line to the south.
The riding is bounded by Molson Street, Panet Road, Regent Avenue W. and Lagimodiere Boulevard to the east and Raleigh Street and the CPR Emerson railway line to the west.
Its population is 23,520, says the province's riding profile (compiled from the 2021 census).
The median age of the riding is just below the overall provincial median, at 36.4 in Concordia compared to 38.4 provincewide, the riding profile and the 2021 census say. Census data says the median household income in the area is $61,633.

Voting history
The riding has been around since 1981, and it's been an NDP stronghold ever since. Matt Wiebe continued that streak in 2019, winning the riding with nearly 60 per cent of votes cast.

As of Sept. 11, the nominated candidates for the 2023 election are:
- Trish Rawsthorne (Liberal).
- Alex Rogers (Progressive Conservative).
- Matt Wiebe (NDP — incumbent).
Candidates become official when they meet criteria set out in the province's Elections Act, including providing a statement of disclosure, after the election has been called. In Concordia, the candidates are listed as official.
