The perfect stop after the Stampede Parade
The Mustard Seed has been serving people who are experiencing poverty and homelessness since the 1980's. Their annual Stampede barbeque is a chance to remind Calgarians that poverty doesn't take a summer vacation.
The always popular Mustard Seed event attracted thousands of Calgarians with a wide array of backgrounds who enjoyed beef on a bun, live entertainment featuring indigenous dancer Dallas Arcand, line dancing and a dunk tank – which was a welcomed new edition on a hot summer's day.
Attendees had the chance to enter a draw for a behind the scenes tour of the barns at Stampede Park and Ceebee, the CBC Kids mascot, wandered the block, posing for pictures and dishing out high fives.
