The death of a Calgary woman this week after being admitted to hospital with significant injuries — originally called a possible homicide — is no longer considered suspicious following an autopsy, police said in a Thursday release.
Police were called to an apartment complex in the community of Varsity, in the 3500 block of 49th Street N.W. on Tuesday evening.
A woman with "significant injuries that were suspicious in nature" had been taken to hospital, where she died early Wednesday.
"The autopsy has ruled that the cause of death is undetermined and foul play is not suspected at this time," police said Thursday afternoon.
Police say the investigation continues.
