Suspect in fatal Calgary assault arrested in Toronto

A man wanted in connection with a fatal assault in southwest Calgary earlier this fall has been arrested by police in Toronto.
Jordan Gregory Frydenlund, 30, was fatally injured in a confrontation outside an apartment building in the 700 block of 67th Avenue S.W. on the evening of Oct. 27.

Calgary police asked the public for help in locating Jonathan Sylvanus Francis Sylvester, 40, in connection with Frydenlund's death.
On Dec. 6, police in Toronto arrested Sylvester. He is now charged with second-degree murder.
The Calgary police thanked the public and their colleagues in Toronto for helping with the investigation.
A woman whose picture was also circulated in connection with the crime has also been located and is not a suspect, police said.
